Fernando Torres has completed his record-breaking transfer from Liverpool to Chelsea.

Chelsea sign Fernando Torres

And in an incredible twist, the new Chelsea striker could make his debut against Liverpool this Sunday at Stamford Bridge.

The Spanish striker passed a medical and agreed personal terms in the deal which will see Roman Abramovich paying a new British record fee of £50 million.

Torres, who put pen to paper on a five-year deal, will now team up with Ivorian Didier Drogba in what will surely be one of the most prolific and feared strike force in world football.

The 26-year-old striker joined Liverpool from Athletico Madrid for a club record £23 million – scoring 33 goals in a prolific first season.

He scored his first goal for Liverpool against Chelsea when he went past Tal Ben Haim and slotted past Petr Cech and continued to be prolific for the Reds against the Stamford Bridge outfit – bagging a brace against the champions at Anfield earlier this season.
