Chris Moyles and Comedy Dave attempt world record radio broadcast
Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles and his sidekick Comedy Dave are today attempting the brilliant-yet-crazy stunt of setting a new world record for the longest-ever radio music show, in aid of Comic Relief.

The pair were previously only aiming to break the current Radio 1 in-house record of 37 hours straight for a single show – held by Simon Mayo.
But today they announced on air their intention to go the full hog and break the current Guinness world record.
Chris said to listeners: “By the time we’ve done 37 hours, we may as well go for broke and hit 51.5 hours and set a new world record. That means we can raise even more cash for Red Nose Day.
“Although I do think we might be completely mental.”
Dave added: “I’m apprehensive, nervous and confident that it’s a wholly stupid idea.”
The pair are allowed five minute breaks every hour – which they can save up to take longer breaks – and other Radio 1 presenters will join them throughout the day as guests to help lighten the load.
Listeners can tune in to hear the inevitable madness and donate to the cause here.
