These breathtaking images reveal the magical world INSIDE a breaking wave – taken by a daredevil surfer.

Clark Little, 44, risks life and limb to drag strobe lights, cameras and lenses out into the sea in a bid to land the perfect picture.

He travels around the world capturing some of the world’s biggest waves breaking on some of the world’s most beautiful backdrops.

And the Hawaii-born photographer is celebrating his work by releasing them in a new book, ‘Shorebreak’.

His coffee table tome boasts more than 100 stunning photographs, with once-in-a-lifetime shots from Hawaii, California and Japan.

One image, titled ‘Ouch’, shows the bravery of Clark in his quest for the perfect photo.

He waits with anticipation as a barrel wave big enough to hold a cover a comes down to break on water just 2ft deep.

Another stunning image is ‘Wave Dance’, a silhouette of surfer Flynn Novak captured the moment before he jumps off the back of his surfboard.

The photo was a lucky result, with the flash supposed to go off and light everything off. But it misfired to create the gem of an image in Oahu, Hawaii.

Also in Oahu was the photograph ‘Tunnel 2 Paradise’, where Clark threw himself down on the sand as the wave pitches over to create an opening with a sunset view in the distance.

And ‘Chariots of Fire’ shows a glassy California barrel wave breaking during sunset on Newport Beach.

Shorebreak, featuring more than 160 jaw-dropping pages, can be purchased from www.clarklittlephotography.com.
