Dog sex pervert escapes jail

A pervert who had sex with his pet dog and filmed the sordid event to keep as a memento has walked free from court.

Sick Paul Adlard, 64, was drunk when he stripped naked and mounted Millie, an Old English Sheepdog, at his home last summer.

He was caught when police seized his camcorder which showed him ”thrusting” behind the whimpering mutt, Nuneaton Magistrates Court heard.

Adlard pleaded guilty to sexual penetration with a living animal causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal under the Sexual Offences Act and Animal Welfare Act.

He was slapped with a two year community and supervision order and banned from keeping pets for life when he appeared before magistrates last Friday.

An earlier hearing was told how police discovered Adlard’s sick sex tape after they raided his home in Bedworth, Warks., last July after a tip-off from a neighbour.

Sarah Pedley, prosecuting, told the court: ”The matter came to light in July last year when police officers seized a camcorder from his home.

”In the video Mr Adlard was seen with the Old English Sheep Dog and the animal was licking his penis while he was masturbating.

”He is then seen in the video from behind thrusting his penis towards the dog, he then repositions and thrusts again and the dog turns around and bit him.

”He then went back to letting the dog lick his penis while he masturbated to climax.”

Adlard told cops he could not remember making the video but later admitted his actions after officers played him the tape.

Mrs Pedley told the court: ”Warwickshire Police arrested Mr Adlard and when he was interviewed at first he said that he did not specifically remember the matter, but he was shown the footage and admitted it happened.

”We have shown the video to a vet who said that the dog did show signs of distress and pain when it turned back. There is limited case law surrounding this matter.”

The court heard how Adlard and his wife were going through a marriage break-up at the time.

Musla Ahmed, defending, said: ”Mr Adlard is disgusted at what happened and knows that it was wrong and since the last hearing he has lost his job and at the moment has no income.

”He is also suffering from rheumatoid arthritis and accepts that his behaviour was totally unacceptable and he is seeking help.”

Adlard admitted making the tape sometime between May 15 and June 29 last year.

The court heard the video had been deleted but forensic experts managed to recover it from the camera’s hard drive.

Jane Corrigan, chairman of the bench, told Adlard his behaviour had been ”totally unacceptable”.
