Two friends are trying to sell a piano made for Mumford and Sons – because they bought it at an auction while DRUNK.
Luke Hartery and Lee Reed, both 25, bought the heavily modified instrument at a charity auction in November.
The upright piano was customised with copper pipes and leather for rockers Mumford and Son to play during a festival last year.
But they are now trying to shift the hefty instrument on eBay – saying they bought it after a heavy drinking session and don’t want it.
Electrician Luke, and financial advisor Lee, both from Lewes, East Sussex, bought the piano at a Lewes Round Table charity auction on November 27.
Luke said: “I ended up bidding on it and winning. I had quite a bit to drink on the day and now I have sort of realised that I don’t really want it and I don’t have anywhere to put it.
“Neither of us can even play the piano although a lot of people have all had a little go on it. It’s perfectly fine, it just needs a bit of tuning.”
The piano is currently listed on auction site eBay for £2500.
