A cute hedgehog was freed by SIX people after getting stuck – in a crisp packet.
The spiked creature was spotted trying and failing to wriggle out of the bag.
It was seen in distress in a stairwell in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset.
Passers-by Jamie-Lee Poole and Amanda Debruin could not reach the 280g hedgehog.
Street warden James Clayton and local carpenter John Meare then arrived to help.
They called Pickles Hedgehog Rescue, in Cheddar, Somerset, who sent two volunteers.
A grinder was used to cut through the railings which allowed Jules Bishop, founder of Pickles, to wriggle behind the bars and rescue the hedgehog.
Jules, who has nursed more than 400 hedgehogs back to health in her tiny back garden sanctuary, said that the response was ”fantastic”.
