He is one of Britain’s greatest funnymen and struck up a famous partnership with fellow comedian Michael Palin.

But here’s John Cleese impersonating another comedy duo – Little and Large – with his new love.

The portly 70-year-old actor and comedian towers over his trim partner, jewellery designer Jennifer Wade – 31 years his junior.

His bulging waistline was in stark contrast to her skinny frame and long bare legs as they strolled near through Bath, Somerset, where he has recently moved.

The star of BBC’s Monty Python and Fawlty Towers must hope he has found his Holy Grail with the pretty blonde after three failed marriages.

The businesswoman – whose company, Jennifer Wade Jewellery, featured on the pages of Vogue earlier this year – fell for Cleese after being introduced by pals.

They got together after his split from American comedienne Barbie Orr and Cleese has moved to the scenic Somerset city to be closer to her family.

The veteran comedian is believed to have bought a flat in Bath’s exclusive Royal Crescent and the pair have been seen leaving a property where a flat sold for £640,000.

Designed more than 200 years ago, they are heralded as one of the greatest examples of Georgian architecture to be found in Britain.

Cleese was born just down the road in the seaside town of Weston-super-Mare. In a recent interview, he spoke of his joy at moving back to his roots.

He said: ”Everyone I know in London is moving to Bath.

”I came here in March – my girlfriend is a jewellery designer and I came down to meet her parents.

”As I arrived I just fell in love with the place and I was trying to figure out why it feels so good here.

”I realised it is because I was born in Weston and I went to Clifton College.

”It all feels too familiar when I look out of the window now at the buildings. It feels like where I grew up.

”My parents visited here fairly regularly and I came here once or twice to watch the cricket.

”I knew the town reasonably well and then I didn’t come for a long time because for the first time for 44 years, if you can believe this, I don’t have a place in London.

”So I’ve moved my ‘centre of gravity’ here and I can’t tell you how happy I am about it.

”It’s such a beautiful city.”

The veteran comedian has a hectic touring schedule lined up, with a series live shows set for May 2011.

Speaking ahead of the tour he announced plans to make light of his latest multi-million pound divorce in his routine.

He split from third wife Alyce Faye Eichelberger in 2008.

The £12million divorce was settled in December of that year.
