Kate Middleton has launched herself in to fulltime princess-in-training mode after leaving her job at her parents’ business.

Kate Middleton quits job at parents' firm to concentrate on royal life

A royal aide confirmed to the Daily Mail that Kate has left the position of project manager at her family’s online store Party Pieces to “concentrate fulltime on preparing to become a member of the royal family.”

Kate’s role at the party supplies firm, which her parents Michael and Carole founded in 1987, involved working as website designer and photographer.

It is unclear whether she will return to the position after the royal wedding in April, sparking speculation that her and Prince William may be planning to start a family sooner rather than later.

She is also expected to follow royal tradition and become a charity patron, although her chosen charity has not yet been decided.

Kate is now free to channel all her spare time in to planning the wedding, and a close friend explained to Hello! magazine how she has taken on the role of wedding planner with “gusto and energy.”

They revealed: “Catherine is a naturally creative individual and has spent her professional life in the creative industries having worked at Jigsaw, then as a website designer, photographer, marketer and events organiser. Skills she has built up in her working life translate naturally to organising a wedding.”

William and Kate are due to marry on 29 April at Westminster Abbey in London.
