Midfielder Joe Cole makes his first start for Liverpool under Kenny Dalglish as the Reds look to progress into the last 16 of the Europa Cup.

The Reds face Sparta Prague at Anfield tonight in the second leg of the tie, needing to win in order to qualify for the next round following last week’s goalless draw in the Czech Republic.

Defenders Martin Kelly and Daniel Agger return to the starting line-up at the expense of Jamie Carragher who drops to the bench and Glen Johnson who is injured.

Christian Poulsen comes into midfield for the crocked Aurelio while Cole makes his first start under Dalglish at the expense of the benched Maxi Rodriguez.

Starting 11: Reina, Kelly, Krygiakos, Agger, Wilson, Lucas, Poulsen, Meireles, Kuyt, Ngog, J Cole

Substitutes’ bench: Gulacsi, Carragher, Skrtel, Spearing, Pacheco, Jovanovic, Maxi

Tonight’s match, which is a sell-out, kicks off at 6pm with live coverage on Five.
