Georgina Hall, 22, smirks in her police mugshot

This is the smirking face of a lowlife mum after she was jailed for six years for savagely holding up a shop with two KNIVES and threatening to kill police officers.

Georgina Hall, 22, repeatedly tried to slash the shop assistant while she demanded she hand over cigarettes and cash because she needed to “get out of town.”

She burst into a convenience store in Grimbsy, Lincs., at 12.50pm on March 3 brandishing two 6in long kitchen knives while high on booze and drugs.

Hall was jailed for six years on Tuesday after she admitted robbery at Grimbsy Crown Court.

She was also made subject to a community order after she threatened to stab police with a knife during a violent stand-off with cops last December.

The court heard her latest robbery left shop assistant Lisa Sellers “terrified” after Hall confronted her with the blades.

CCTV footage of the raid showed Hall climbing on the shop counter and thrusting the knives towards Miss Sellers.

Prosecutor Jayne Bryn told the court resident David Usher heard the commotion and bravely tackled Hall in the shop doorway.

She said: “He heard screaming and shouting and came across.

“He could see the defendant was armed with knives and was trying to climb over the counter.”

Hall then turned the knives towards Mr Usher, shouting she “needed the money to get out of town”.

He prevented her shutting the door of the shop, causing her to come outside and confront him.

Speaking after the incident, Miss Sellers said she “could not bear to think” what could have happened had he not intervened.

Jailing her for six years, of which she will serve two behind bars and spend the rest on extended licence, Judge David Tremberg said she was “a young woman with a record of persistent violence” who presented a “high risk” of re-offending.

He told her: “Most people learn from experience. Sadly, at this stage of your life, you are not willing or able to do so.”
