Mum shocked when Yodel delivery driver bombards her with saucy WhatsApp messages

A single mum who ordered make-up online was left outraged after a Yodel delivery driver used her mobile number – to send her saucy WhatsApp messages.

Rhian Davies, 29, was shocked when the man messaged her and said her WhatsApp profile picture “is turning me on”.

Incredibly, the unnamed courier then tried to blame the mum for having “cleavage showing” and said she “started it off” because her photo was “derogatory”.

Rhian was using Yodel to deliver some Kylie Jenner MAC lipstick she ordered from eBay for herself and to give friends as Christmas presents.

The single mum realised she had two missed calls from an unknown mobile number at 7pm on Saturday night (22/10).

She sent a text message asking who it was and was stunned when she received the flirty replies from the delivery driver the next day.

Incredibly, the courier started his reply by saying: “Yodel courier driver.

“You shouldn’t have messaged me on whattsapp. Your pic is turning me on…”

When Rhian challenged the delivery driver, he replied: “I tried ringing you yesterday to find your address because it was too dark to see. So that I could deliver your parcel.

“And I’m only human shouldn’t message a man with cleavage showing. Anything profesisonal in that?

“Unless your on purpose flirting with me with your pic.”swns_yodel_texts_01After Rhian told the creepy courier she was going to report him, he replied: “Your pic is derogatory. That’s started it off.

“If you messaged me with no pic you wouldn’t be reporting me.”

Today (Wed), Rhian, who lives with her eight-year-old daughter in Stafford, blasted the “sex pest” Yodel driver for using her number to flirt with her.

The admin assistant said: “I ordered some Kylie Jenner lipstick from eBay for Christmas but i had no idea when it was coming.

“I was in bed with my daughter and I had two missed calls quite late on Saturday night from a mobile number.

“I sent a message asking who it was because it could have been a friend or someone I have been on a date with.swns_yodel_texts_08“But I couldn’t believe it when he replied the next day saying it was the delivery driver and saying my picture was turning him on.

“My WhatsApp profile picture is just a normal picture of me in a vest. It is not like I am there in just a bra or something.

“I have family members on there so I would never have a picture like that.

“I was really shocked and felt sick. You trust these companies with your personal details and you don’t expect a sex pest delivery driver to start sending your creepy comments.

“What is worse is he has my address and it is quite a rural area. I live alone with my daughter so I have been worried every since that he might be coming around.

“We went for a day out in Wales to see my brother on Monday just because I wanted to get out of the house and away.”

The Yodel driver didn’t give his name in any of his messages but his WhatsApp status is “I LOVE DAWAT-E-ISLAMI” – which is a non-political Islamic organisation based in Pakistan.

Rhian was forced to block the driver’s number after he tried to ring her again on Sunday night.

The mum-of-one also sent an email complaining about the incident to Yodel but has not yet received a reply.

She added: “I replied to his messages and questioned him because I just couldn’t believe it.

“What made it even worse was he was blaming me for the way I look in my picture which is ridiculous.

“It is sexist and he shouldn’t be using the Yodel service as a personal dating site.

“He tried to ring me again on Sunday night after the messages so I had to block his number.”swns_yodel_texts_09Yodel yesterday apologised to Rhian and confirmed an investigation has been launched into the driver’s messages.

A spokesperson for the courier firm said: “We take complaints of this nature very seriously and apologise for any offence caused.

“We are carrying out an investigation into this incident and have asked the customer for further information so we can take appropriate action.”
