This is the shocking moment CCTV footage caught the moment a man was kidnapped from a Bristol bar.

This is the moment a man was kidnapped from a bar and dragged off by a gang – as drinkers stood by and did nothing.

The 22-year-old victim was out drinking with pals when they found themselves surrounded by another group of men.

Shocking footage shows him being put into a choke hold by the man who had been sitting next to him before he goes limp.

The defenceless man is then dragged belly-down out of the pub by two of the thugs and hauled into a car outside.

SWNS_BRISTOL_KIDNAP_02The brazen kidnapping happens in full view of other drinkers at the Blue Lagoon in Bristol – but no-one tries to stop it.

The victim was driven to the Bradley Stoke area of Bristol around five miles away where he managed to escape.

He was treated in hospital for facial injuries after the incident around 10.20pm on December 15.

Police arrested and bailed two men and have now released the video in an appeal for more information.

Temporary Detective Chief Inspector Duncan Wood said: “This was a terrifying event for the young man involved and it’s fortunate he didn’t sustain any lasting injuries.

“As part of our investigation we’re releasing footage from inside the Blue Lagoon in the hope the public can help us identify the men pictured.

SWNS_BRISTOL_KIDNAP_14“Do you recognise any of them? Did you witness the incident in or around the bar on the night of 15 December?

“Anyone with information, however insignificant you might think it is, who hasn’t yet contacted us is asked to get in touch.”

Two men aged 32 and 28 have been arrested and bailed until February 17.
