Trio of classic ice creams to hit the shelves as chocolate bars

In a great new twist on standard confectionary, some of Britain’s favourite ice creams have been recreated as chocolate bars.

Favourites like Mars and Snickers have already been launched as frozen snacks, but now classic Walls ice creams Magnum, Cornetto and Mini Milk have been turned into chocolates.

The Magnum bar recreates the rich taste with a smooth, vanilla truffle centre inside a chocolate shell.

Cornetto chocolates use the famous crispy wafer covering a creamy chocolate middle, topped with real hazelnuts.

The low-calorie Mini Milk chocolate lollies contain only 94 calories and 30 per cent of an adult’s recommended daily allowance of calcium.

British company Kinnerton Confectionary were tasked with creating the new treats by ice cream giant Walls.

The new take on classic favourite Mini Milks are set to hit the shelves in May

The bars, available individually or in multipacks, are set to hit the shelves from May 1.

Richard Reilly, Managing Director at Kinnerton, said: “We wanted to bring something completely different to the market.

“Magnum, Cornetto and Mini Milk are iconic brands.

“Nearly 25 years ago Mars transformed the chocolate into an ice cream, reinventing the sector.

“We wanted to complete the circle by taking ice cream brands back into confectionery.”
