A Nottingham-based wedding videography company has been voted number one in the East Midlands region in the Wedding Industry Awards 2015.

Perfect Moment Films, a specialist in producing cinematic wedding films, was nominated for an award in October for its luxury wedding films made in the last year. As the East Midlands Regional Winner, the wedding videography company qualifies for the national final. Winners will be announced at the national final event at London’s Cafe de Paris.

“We are over the moon that Perfect Moment Films has won the National Wedding Award for ‘Best Videographer in the East Midlands region’,” said Chris Buckley, founder and owner of Perfect Moment Films. “We’ve come such a long way in the past few years and will only get better and better.”

Founded in 2008, when Chris was just 21, Perfect Moment Films is an East Midlands wedding videography supplier which has expanded its business from Nottingham to produce wedding videos in Cheshire, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire. In addition, the company has travelled abroad to create wedding videos at the invitation of couples keen to capture their special day with the word of mouth recommended wedding film maker.

Perfect Moment Films’ success has meant that its business has grown mainly due to happy couples telling others about their experience, along with the 4000+ Facebook community it has developed, contributing to investment in more equipment and professional videographers to meet demand.

The growth in social media, along with improved and faster internet connections has increased demand for quality wedding films. While many people have access to smartphones, tablets and video cameras they don’t necessarily have the eye, the time and the editing skills to make films that they want to watch again and again. However, the ready access to technology to watch and share films has seen a growth in the wedding film industry with couples and their families wanting to record a wedding from the preparations to the first dance.

“We are really looking forward to the national award ceremony in 2015,” continued Chris. “It’s a great honour to be nominated and then voted the best in the East Midlands by the couples who have used us and then to have the quality of our work chosen as the best by two of the industry’s top videographers. It’s an accolade to what we have achieved in the six years we’ve been in business so far.”
