Now bookmakers Ladbrokes have dreamt up this fun puzzle and asking the question: “Where’s Wayney?”

The England and Manchester superstar has some of the most striking facial features of any professional footballer – but can you pick him out from among the other football legends featured below.

If you look carefully you can see Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Ronaldinho, Robin van Persie, Gareth Bale, Alexis Sanchez, Gary Lineker, George Best and David Beckham among the famous faces.

But can you pick out the England skipper Rooney?
Euro 16 in France kicks off on Friday June 10, with England’s opener in group B the following day versus Russia.

Ladbrokes expect the France 2016 tournament to break Euro betting records with over £500m wagered across the industry.

England are currently the 9/1 4th favourites to lift the trophy, having been 12/1 before the friendly win over Germany.

The bookies believe Rooney is a certainty to make the plan, with odds of 1/20 offered about him making the final squad.

Alex Donohue, at www.ladbrokes.com, said: “The patriotic plunge on England came early after the win over Germany and it has shown little sign of stopping. Whilst finding Rooney in the puzzle is a struggle, it would be a shock if Roy was to leave him out of the final squad for France.

“We thought commissioning this puzzle would be a fun way to whet appetite of footy fans with less than a month to go until the start of the tournament that we think is going to smash previous betting records.”
